Chevron Conveyor Belts

When you need to transport bulk or packed materials on a steep slope, the design of UKRB chevron conveyor belts reduces the risk of slipping, thus enabling transportation on an inclined plane. Compared with flat belts, a larger quantity of materials can be transported, and the top cover and profile are moulded in one piece for better adhesion and resistance.

Chevron belts can be used in many sectors including quarries to transport coal and coke, crushing plants, pits, salt mines, lime and cement factories, sugar refineries, the agriculture sector to transport cereals and in cereal mills.

While the UKRB chevron belts are for general use, some models are specially made to be oil-resistant or temperature-resistant, with all the usual characteristics of flat belts. They can provide optimum performance in a wide range of temperatures, from below freezing at -25ºC up to +150ºC, depending on the type.

Within the carcass of the belt, the insertions can be made from polyester/polyester (EE), polyester/polyamide (EP) or polyamide/polyamide (PP).

Depending on the height of the cleats, we have 3 categories of belts;
R15 (h=15 mm), R25 (h=25 mm) andR32 (h=32 mm).

In each category there are several types with different layouts, classified by the distances between cleats. The maximum thickness of the belts (excluding the thickness of the cleats) is 12 mm. 

A. POWDERY MATERIALS ( flour, lime etc.):
– Belts R15 – angle max. 25°;
– Belts R25 – angle max. 28°;
– Belts R32 – angle max. 30°;


B. FLOWING MATERIALS ( beans – corn, barley, rye, wheat or dry sand):
– Belts R15 – angle max. 20-25°;
– Belts R25 – angle max. 25-30°;
– Belts R32 – angle max. 25-30°;


C. ROLLING MATERIALS ( gravel, stone etc):
– Belts R15 – angle max. 25°;
– Belts R25 – angle max. 28°;
– Belts R32 – angle max. 30°;
D. STICKY MATERIALS ( wet sand, clay, ash etc):
– Belts R15 – angle max. 30-35°;
– Belts R25 – angle max. 35-40°;
– Belts R32 – angle max. 40-45°;


E. WRAPPED MATERIALS (bags with various materials):
– Belts R15 – angle max. 30-35°;
– Belts R25 – angle max. 35-40°;
– Belts R32 – angle max. 35-40°;


The values are indicative and depend on the type of conveyed materials,
the loading conditions and the speed of the belt.
